Sanlucar de Barrameda.
A town founded by Acient Greece, where the historical civilization named Tartessos took place and the mythical Island of Atlantis might be buried. A site the well known philosopher Platón, student of Socrates, mentioned in his writtings and where the oldest Greek divinity of the waters named Poseidon resided and reigned
Further in history, the river Guadalquivir is the power spot of the town. This 657 km long river pass Seville and cross Andalusia. It was the highway for the acient civilization and Sanlucar the first and last destination before starting or ending the navigation on the Atlantic Ocean. The vikings where the first ones to use Sanlucar and this acient highway to rob Seville. After the start of Cristopher Colombus invadation of South America in 1492, the transportation on Guadalquivir River of the american tresures and goods taken by the spanish empire during three centuried, converted Sanlucar into the richest town in Spain during this period.
In the ending of the 18th century this was also part of the royal family, summer residence. This coverted the town into a popular upper class summer destination which caused the construcción of amazing houses and palaces.
